Elective Description/ Requirements:
This course is designed to give M3 students the opportunity to explore their career
expectations, comparing and contrasting these with a career in Urology.
M3 students will spend approximately 2 weeks experiencing the elements of a career in Urology. Students will be incorporated into the team, allowing a closer investigation of the student’s’ career expectations including work hours, work settings, required tasks, and work-life balance. Students should reflect on how their career goals parallel the expectations and demands of a career in Urology.
Length of Course: 2 weeks

- Discuss how skills and interests align with potential specialty choices. (EPOs: PBL-1, PBL-3)
- Explain work hours, work tasks, settings, salary, job outlook and work-life balance corresponding to potential specialtie choice(s). (EPOs: PB-2)
